I was tremendously excited when the launch of http://www.michelgondry.com happened, because previously listed on the page was “Coming Soon” and a list of future merchandise. On this list of merchadise choices was “Your Portrait Drawn By Michel Gondry”, so I knew the minute the website was up and running I would have to order one. On April 18th, I visited the website once more, and to my surprise everything had gone into effect. Five minutes later I had put in my order for a portrait. On July 3rd my portrait finally arrived, and this is what it looks like! It has become my most prized possesion, along with my signed David Sedaris book. I need to get a proper frame for it because it’s still in the paper frame michelgondry.com mailed it in. For any of you interested, they have now listed that the portraits are only available with the purchase of the Volume Two DVD of his works - for the price of $99.95! To insert a silly but relevant cliché, “the early bird gets Michel Gondry”!
